I have been an EFL/ESP teacher for more than 30 years. I graduated in Language Teaching, have a Masters degree in Applied Linguistcs, and a Ph.D in Education. I am currently a Full professor at Universidad Simon Bolivar, Caracas, Venezuela, where I Coordinate the Graduate Studies in Education Programs and I am the Head of the Specialization in Informatics and Education. Besides teaching technology-related courses at the graduate level, I also teach English for Architecture and Urban Planning courses. A webhead since 2002, I am now the coordinator of the TESOL Electronic Village Online and co-moderator, with Teresa Almeida d´Eça of the Becoming a Webhead (BaW) online Workshop, and I teach, with Teresa, the \"Teching Vocabulay and Grammar Online\" course for TESOL´s Principles and Practices of Online Teaching Certificate Program.

I have published in different national and international journals and regulary present at national and international conferences. I have been a member of VenTESOL and TESOL for more than 16 years. I also belong to several virtual communities of practice for educators: Learning Times and Tapped In among them.
